Embattled singer R. Kelly was taken into custody following a court appearance yesterday afternoon for unpaid child support.
Kelly, who was taken in cuffs after the hearing in Chicago, is owing around $161,000.
He will be released from custody of the amount is paid in full,according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Department.
The court appearance came hours after an explosive interview aired in which the singer, who faces 10 counts of felony criminal sexual abuse involving four alleged victims, lashed out and called the allegations “not fair.”
