Actress Monalisa Chinda may be heading to jail soon.
According to reports, a bench warrant has been issued by a Lagos High Court for her arrest over tax evasion issues.
The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, filed the complaint alleging that Monalisa Chinda had repeatedly failed to honour court summons.
The actress is facing a two-count charge over a 6-year failure to file her annual tax returns as well as pay income tax for her company, Monalisa Code Productions which run in Lekki.
According to the persecuting counsel, Y. A. Pitan, Chinda had not appeared in court since 2017, when the charge was filed against her.
