Mr Issa Aremu, Kwara Governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) has appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for his call for potential ballot box snatchers to be punished as elections begin tomorrow.
Buhari recently urged security agencies to decisively deal with ballot box snatchers in the forthcoming general elections.
Issa said the statement had become imperative after last Tuesday’s unfortunate battle between supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ojoku, Oyun Local Government Area of the state that claimed lives.
He sided with the president’s words on any trouble makers before or during the election.
He also urged Nigeria to be firm, because should the country fail to tackle political thugs and their heartless sponsors, they will destroy in the peace in the country.
Issa hailed Buhari but also urged Nigerians to vote for their preferred candidate.
