Nigeria’s first supermodel Yemi Fawaz is dead.
Miss Fawaz who made news a few years ago after she stated she could never marry a poor man, died yesterday at New York Lenox Hill Hospital.
Fawaz, 64, had been battling colon cancer for a while. The supermodel reportedly also had an issue with her heart and her kidney.
The late Fawaz, began her modeling career in the late 70s. She is survived by her 33 year old daughter. May her soul rest in peace.
