DR Ibrahim Kurmi, the Deputy Speaker of the Yobe state House of Assembly, is dead.
According to reports, DR Ibrahim died at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital Damaturu last night. He had been battling with a yet to be disclosed ailment for a while now. He was 48 years old.
Kumi, who trained as a medical doctor, first assumed office in 2011, before resigning in 2012. He was then re-elected in 2015 and remained there until his death.
He is survived by two wives and children. May his soul rest in peace.
