A south African woman identified as Matshidiso Boikanyo, has been beaten mercilessly by her landlord over an altercation around a satellite dish.
According to reports, the sad incident which happened at Mabele-a-Podi, outside Rustenburg in South Africa, saw the 34-yer-old woman being told by her landlord her satellite dish was too low and needs to be moved higher, a discussion that led to an argument.
Matshidiso reportedly told her landlord she would move it when she has money as she was a bit low on cash at that point, a statement that caused her to be beaten by the landlord after he said Matshidiso was not co-operative.
“He provoked me. Did he expect me to say nothing? I could see he was in a bad mood when he approached me, but I didn’t think it would end up this way,” said Matshidiso.
Four men who were there when Matshidiso was being attacked said she deserved the beating because shse appeared rude to her landlord.
Colonel Adele Myburgh, the North West police spokeswoman confirming the incident said an f assault case file has b opened and the suspect will appear in court on 4 March.
