The Comedy Central Roast of AKA is about to bring top Africans scattered across the continent to be part of the celebration of dissing the celebs they adore the most.
Its aim is to have 3 wise men take the socio-political differences we experience in Africa and transform it into a show of love, joy and absolute amusement as part of the Comedy Central Roast of AKA in conjunction with popular station, Showmax coming to The Teatro at Montecasino, Jburg, SA on the 21st day of this month.
As if the success for the year is not overwhelming already, Omo Baba Olowo, Davido is set to become the very first Nigerian to join the popular Comedy Central Roast.
Fans are anticipating how well he’ll do going up against AKA on stage.
On what he thought about the Roast, Davido said, “I’m such a big fan of Comedy Central, this is going to be a hilarious night. I’m ready, Africa are you ready? This is a Roast so nothing is off limits!”
Alex Okosi, a top gun at Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) also said, “At VIMN Africa, we continuously evolve and innovate content to create unique and engaging experiences for our audiences that drive culture. In a continental first, this Comedy Central Roast now transcends boundaries by welcoming Africa’s international star, Davido, to the panel.”
