21 Savage had suggested that his arrest by ICE might be them trying to get revenge for his latest song that blasted the bad ways of immigration officials.
The rapper released a stern statement to say ICE’s motives for his arrest are nothing but corrupt.
His words, “Many have speculated as to possible ulterior motives for his arrest and detention, including that he released music five days prior to his arrest by ICE, which included new lyrics condemning the behavior of immigration officials for their detention of children at the border.”
The lyrics in question can be heard in his song titled “A Lot.”
Some of the lines were, “Been through some things so I can’t imagine my kids stuck at the border. Flint still need water. People was innocent, couldn’t get lawyers.”
