The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has vowed to use the state finances for the greater good of Lagos if elected as governor.
He said more skill centres would be set up in strategic areas of the state to aid youth employment.
His words, “We will ensure that we use the state’s resources to pursue the greatest good for the greatest number of people. We are aware that greater development can be achieved if we run a representational system where everybody contributes from our local communities. Whatever we need to do to make Lagos liveable and appealing to all of us will be done in partnership with the people.
“We have a task to respond to unemployment among educated and uneducated young people. We are going to engage them in various skill acquisition programmes and entrepreneurship. We have six vocational training centres across the state. We will strengthen these existing facilities and provide more to train young people who have flair for technical education.”
