Governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party in Imo State, Dr Linus Okorie, is confident that his party would defeat the two major political parties, the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party, at the March 2 governorship election in the state.
He said, “The YPP is ready to take over Imo State. By March 2, YPP will defeat the APC, the PDP and all the big parties you know. We have come to end the old order in politics.
“The old order represents bad leadership; it represents rigging of elections and lack of focus in government.
“We represent a world-class Imo with endless opportunities. It is no longer game as usual. We are reaching out and the masses are becoming part of our project across the 27 LGAs of the state,” he said.
“Imo’s debt profile is alarming but we need a sincere leadership that would work things out. When I become governor, I will work hard to ensure that our debt is cancelled. The Olusegun Obasanjo-led administration did it and it worked.
“What Imo needs now is a kind of leadership that is built on integrity, vision, commitment and selflessness.
“We don’t need mediocrity anymore. Imo State has suffered enough. It is time to move Imo forward.”
