Police nab Nigerian kidnapper who escaped from jail in Ghana

The Ghana police command has rearrested a Nigerian kidnapper, Samuel Udoetuk-Wills who escaped from the custody of the Takoradi Metropolitan Police Command in Ghana on 30th December.

Udoetuk was remanded in prison for kidnapping. He was recaptured in the wee hours of Friday by three policemen in an abandoned buildingĀ  at Kanssawurodu, near Takoradi. .

The suspect was found sleeping deeply in the disused building when he was rearrested and taken into custody.

Udoetuk was arrested December 22 in connection with the alleged kidnapping and disappearance of a number of girls.

He has since been transferred to the Police Headquarters in Accra.
