Two young ladies Gugulethu Thwala and Koketso Moyo have been sentenced to 18 and 14 years in jail, respectively, by a South African High Court. They also got an additional 5 years for kidnapping.
The girls were jailed for burning a 19-year-old girl, Boitumelo Dlamini, to death for dating one of their ex boyfriends, Tokelo Makhelepho.
According to reports, the incident happened in 2015. Both ladies in the company of two others who are yet to know their fate, burnt Dlamini to death while recording a video of her screaming as they laughed.
Mosopi, Koketso Moyo, Gugulethu “Sharon” Thwala, and Victor Pilane had been charged with kidnapping and murdering Boitumelo Dlamini.
The four allegedly kidnapped Dlamini at Eletsa High School in Letlhabile near Brits on June 18, 2015, after Mosopi accused her of dating her boyfriend. Dlamini was allegedly doused with petrol and set ablaze.
