On Saturday, the world was hit with the news of the passing of U.S. Senator John McCain . It has now been revealed that he will be buried at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on Sunday, September 2, 2018.
McCain passed on August 25 at the age of 81 after a year-long battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He will be buried next to his Naval Academy classmate and friend Admiral Chuck Larson, according to a schedule of events from his office.
His burial will be held after a national memorial service at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Saturday.
