Imam who saved Christians during the Plateau massacre that happened a couple of weeks back, has been honoured by the United States of America.
Recall Imam Abdullahi Abubakar, saved about 300 Christians from getting killed during the massacre in Nghar Yelwa village of Barkin Ladi local government in Plateau state.
The Imam was recognised and honoured for his heroic act at an event organised by the US embassy in Jos.
Suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded about 15 communities in the Barkin Ladi LGA, on June 24th, murdering scores of humans.
The Islamic cleric hid some fleeing Christians in his home and in the mosque and told the killers when they came to him to release them that everyone in the mosque is a Muslim.
