Prince Harry and Meghan planning trip to visit her father Thomas Markle in Mexico .
It is not known when the royal couple, who are also planning their honeymoon, will make the trip.
A source told The Sun:
‘Meghan and Thomas are both devastated he wasn’t able to attend the wedding and have discussed seeing each other soon. ‘They have been speaking all week, mostly by text.
Thomas has told other family members he hopes and expects Meghan and Harry to come to see him.’
Meghan’s dad has been in regular contact with American gossip website TMZ over the last week, offering updates about his health and speaking out about his daughter’s wedding.
He most recently revealed that he sent her a text on the day of the wedding, telling her that he loves her.
He also warned his relatives to ‘shut up about everything’ now that Meghan is officially a member of the royals.
