Following embattled South African president, Jacob Zuma, resignation from office yesterday over corruption allegations, the ruling ANC announced Cyril Ramaphosa as the new president of the country.
Cyril, was the only candidate nominated in parliament on Thursday, an announcement that was joyously welcomed by the National Assembly.
Mr. Zuma, had been told to step down by ANC or face a vote of no-confidence, Zuma chose the former announcing that he was quitting with immediate effect although he disagreed with the party’s decision.
