Taiwan is hit by 5.7 magnitude earthquake a day after 6.4 quake

Taiwan has been hit by a 5.7 magnitude earthquake.

The quake struck near Hualien, they said, the same area as a 6.0-magnitude quake that struck late on Tuesday and which has left seven people dead and 67 missing, according to the latest figures.

The temblor was centered 22.1km north-east of Hualien County hall, at a shallow depth of 10km, according to Central Weather Bureau (CWB) data.
