Father and Daughter Arrested For Incest After Having Baby

Police have arrested a North Carolina father and his biological daughter and charged them with incest after having a baby together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When 20-year-old Katie was born, she was legally adopted out of state but reached out to her biological parents (Steven and her mother) at the age of 18. Katie ended up moving in with her parents and their two children in August 2016. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

After three months, Steven and his wife legally separated because of the relationship between him and Katie. According to the mother, Steven had been sleeping on Katie’s bedroom floor. In May 2017, the mother read one of her other children’s journals and found out Katie was pregnant by her father. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She later contacted Steven, to which he admitted that Katie was pregnant with his child and also shared the couple’s plans for marriage. Steven even told Katie’s siblings to call her step-mom. Sometime during November 2017, warrants were sent out for Katie and Steven’s arrest. By that time, the two had moved in together in Knightdale.

On Jan. 27, Katie and Steven were arrested in their home. The two have been charged with incest with adult, adultery, contributing to delinquency and were given a $1 million bond. Steven has bonded out, but Katie is still in Wake County Detention Center awaiting her extradition to Virginia.
