Manchester United sacks Jose Mourinho

Manchester United has fired it’s coach, Jose Mourinho,following a poor run of results, the club have announced.

The Red Devils lost 3-1 to Liverpool on Sunday, leaving the club in sixth position in the Premier League table.

They had only two wins in their last eight matches in all competitions.

Mourinho will get a £22.5m pay-off as club remain in the Champions League

A statement of the club’s website read: “

Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.”

“The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.

“A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”
