Tyler Perry has revealed he would be saying goodbye to his popular character, Madea in his next Madea film that is expected to be released in 2019.
“This is it,” he told SiriusXM radio host Bevy Smith on her show Bevelations “It’s time for me to kill that old b***h. I’m tired!…We’re gonna say goodbye in ‘19. I just don’t want to be her age playing her.”
Perry says Madea will take her final bow in his upcoming film, “Tyler Perry’s a Madea Family Funeral,” expected to come to theaters in March. The film will be the eighth Madea film in the popular franchise and the 11th film in which Tyler will play her.
And if you loved the plays, Tyler is also planning a farewell stage play tour but details are slim as of now.
