Iggy Azalea finally confirmed her long rumoured relationship with rapper Playboi Carti on Saturday, only to be trolled over the couple’s age difference.
The Australian star, 28, was forced to defend the five-year age gap between herself and her young beau, 23, after being slammed by online trolls on Instagram.
In response to one critical comment, the blonde rapper wrote:
‘Is that unusual to you, because almost everyone I know isn’t the exact age as the person they date. ‘He just turned 23, he’s five years younger than I am.’
Y’all act like he’s some lil kid that just left school or I’m some old ass woman. We are both in our 20s, get off my nutz [sic].’
Iggy and Carti made their relationship Instagram official on Saturday by sharing a loved-up photo of themselves canoodling on a couch.
