She faced online backlash last month over her decision to briefly straighten her daughter North West’s natural curls.
And when Kim Kardashian tweeted a throwback photo this Tuesday of Kanye and North with her straight hair, she found herself explaining the do again.
She was responding to a Twitter use who had written: ‘
Don’t straighten her hair too much it’ll ruin her curls..I did that to my hair and ruined it but I’m finally getting my natural curly hair back.’
Kim said of North’s hair-straightening: ‘
She is allowed twice a year, on her birthday and birthday party! This pic was taken back in June on her bday’.
She has curly hair, so when you straighten her hair, it’s gonna look really long. I can’t believe people didn’t get that. Sometimes you just have to tune it out! It was her birthday and all she wanted was to try to have her hair straightened.’
