Barely 24-hours after rapper XXXTentacion was confirmed dead after he was shot leaving a motorcycle shop in Florida, another rapper has been murdered.
According to reports, Pittsburgh rapper, Jimmy Wopo, 21, whose real name is Travon Smartshot dead while travelling with another male in a white Mazda SUV. The pair were shot at, at about 4:22 p.m. in the Middle Hill neighborhood.
The second victim according to police is in a stable condition.
Jimmy’s manager, Taylor Maglin confirmed the death of his client on Facebook.
‘I lost my brother today and it’s the worst feeling in the world. He was destined for greatness and he wanted the best for his friends, family and community,’ Maglin wrote.
We lost a great person today, but just know I will do everything in my power to make his memory live on forever. Love you bro,’ he added.
Alicia George, a Pittsburgh Police spokesperson, speaking on the sad incident said; ‘A police investigation into the drive-by shooting is underway.’ This was an isolated incident, an apparent drive-by,’ George said.
