Man calls cops after being stalked by pig

A man called police to report that he was being stalked by a pig in the early hours of Saturday morning, only for officers to accuse him of being drunk. But when cops were sent out to find the man in North Ridgeville, Ohio, they discovered that he was sober – and telling the truth.

An officer wrangled the porker into his cruiser, and it was taken to a police station where cops housed it in a dog kennel, before later reuniting the animal with its owner.

A North Ridgeville Police Department spokesman said:

‘At 5:26 this morning we received a call from a male who stated that he was walking home on Center Ridge from the Train Station in Elyria. ‘He went on to state that he was being followed by a pig and didn’t know what to do.

Night shift responded to the obviously drunk guy walking home from the bar at 5:26 in the morning. ‘He was at least drunk enough to call the police on himself while hallucinating. ‘Upon arrival, they found a very sober male walking eastbound on Center Ridge near Maddock Rd. from the actual Amtrak train station in Elyria, not the bar. ‘Oh, and he was being followed by a pig. ‘Yes, a pig. ‘

The PD even shared a photo of the relaxed-looking pig sat in their car on Facebook – and warned any prospective jokers that they’d already thought of the obvious ‘pig’ gag.
