Kanye West’s late mom’s doctor says he can’t use photo as album cover

The plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West’s mom the day before she died is warning the rapper not to use his photo on an upcoming album.

Dr. Jan Adams penned a cease and desist letter to West thanking him for the offer of a cover tribute but saying it wouldn’t be appropriate, a copy of the open letter obtained by TheBlast.com said.

The doctor said if West wants to make a gesture of forgiveness — as he said in a recent Twitter post — he should feature the person Adams believes is the one responsible for Donda West’s death in November 2007 at age 58.

He identified that person as West’s cousin.

“Perhaps you should put your cousin’s picture on your next album. Don’t put my picture out there and claim you are about love. Love deals with the truth,” he wrote.

Adams quoted a Los Angeles County deputy coroner as saying West’s relative Stephan Scoggins was tasked with being Donda’s primary caregiver during her recovery but left her residence the morning after her surgery because she appeared to be improving.

She was later found not breathing.

Adams said in the letter that he has “tolerated” being the fall guy over the last decade out of respect for the “doctor-patient privilege,” but he has a limit.

“If you want to heal, first call out the people in your own camp who knew better and persisted with the charade in order to hide their own guilt,” he wrote.

West shared Adams’ letter on Twitter.

“This is amazing,” he wrote in a Monday afternoon post. “Thank you so much for this connection brother. I can’t wait to sit with you and start healing.”
